New York Duplex of the Late George Plimpton Up for Sale (print: “George Plimpton’s New York Duplex Up For Sale”)

Ann Cutbill Lenane was the listing agent.

In its Private Properties column, the Journal reports that the East River-facing Upper East Side co-op of the late Paris Review founder George Plimpton is coming to market at $5.495 million. Plimpton combined four apartments into a roughly 4,700-square-foot duplex where he and his wife hosted a weekly stream of writers and artists. Ann, the listing agent, explains how the unit was assembled and that Sarah Plimpton is downsizing and moving to Santa Fe.

“Mrs. Plimpton, 65, is selling the unit because she is downsizing and plans to move to Santa Fe, N.M., Ms. Lenane said.”
