What fun it was to join my long-time clients in their search for a Florida apartment. You might be wondering – why was I involved, let alone tagging along.
For starters, I am obsessed with real estate, so I will always jump at any opportunity to look at a property. Also, at least once a week, I am contacted by someone asking for advice on a real estate transaction outside the city, but with the mass NYC exodus to Florida, I must be as knowledgeable as possible.
My friends weren’t sure where they wanted to be in Florida, so before the trip, we spent a good amount of time reviewing their bucket list items and priorities. I then connected them with the best broker in each market and joined them for the days they toured in and around Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
I was shocked at how expensive the new developments were, many exceeding Manhattan pricing in similar buildings. I found it fascinating, and I certainly learned so much. What remains to be seen is if pricing holds. I’ll keep you posted!
